As many of you know, last weekend was a big one in our Leavitt house. Saturday was William's first birthday and Sunday was Trent's 25th birthday. My boys are growing up! :)
We had a family party on Saturday and I think William had a grand old time. Lots of cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents, and lots of food, cake, and presents.
I learned something last weekend. I'm going to have to be more prepared if I want to celebrate TWO birthdays back to back every year. William's went great, and Trent's was fine, but I didn't do as good a job as I should have on Trent's, and somehow managed to not take a single picture of his 25th. How lame am I?! Kind of sad really. I said to Trent that it was probably the only birthday of his life that did not get documented with at least one picture... I'll do better next year.
Well, we did get lots of pictures of William's birthday. So here are just a few.
My mom helped me make the birthday cupcakes, and as per Leavitt family tradition, I made William his own small chocolate cake that got to devour all by himself.

I made the cake with two of my mini loaf pans, and it looked great at first, but after a while they sort of drifted apart, which you'll notice in some of the pictures below. We were really surprised at how timid William was with the cake at first. It took him several minutes before he really got into it. (We video taped the whole thing, but we don't have the firewire or whatever you need to hook the camera up to the computer, so...sorry.)

Little goofball.

Best cake picture EVER!

I made this! Isn't it so cute? (haha...I could say the same thing about William!)

William had fun with all of his cousins. They ALL had fun with this ball popper toy we got him. Seriously, it was so funny to watch...ranging from an almost 9 year old down to William, they were all just thrilled with this toy and hovered over for a good while. William really likes it and learned quickly how to turn it on! He got lots of other great presents from everyone! Clothes, toys, a book, etc. THANK YOU!
We had a great weekend, and can't believe our baby is so old! We think he's the greatest!

What a big boy! They were SO funny with that ball popper. Maybe I'll get Samuel one for Christmas :)
That cake picture is awesome!! He is so grown up!
you are seriously sooo talented... I aspire to be like you!
William looks like he has a beard in that one cake picture! So funny! Happy Birthday to William and Trent!
I wish his birthday could have been three months ago so we could have been with you guys, cause frick, those pictures are beyond priceless. And Troy's parents have the same ball popper toy at their house and we even play with it sometimes.
I love his cake picture. I think he may be a chocoholic. :) Way to go on the cupcakes too, they were way cute.
Happy birthdays! I sure miss you Liz! I love your birthday banner and I want to buy one from you!
I can't believe he's already a year! He's adorable!! Hope you all are loving Texas.
