It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

So, while we were in Texas, my mom was so kind as to let me raid her Christmas decorations and take some back to Utah with us. Then earlier this week Trent and I bought a really cheap Christmas tree at Big Lots. We were lucky, because it was the only one they had that wasn't pink or purple (or $100)... It's kind of a scrawny tree...you might call it a Charlie Brown tree, we've referred to it as our gangster tree.... But it's OUR Christmas tree! Anyway, the really great tree skirt that Mom bought for us really classes it up if you ask me. Oh, another cool thing is that some of the ornaments we hung on it (the silver balls, beads, and pink stars) all came from the big Christmas tree that was in Calder Woods at our reception in Beaumont...How sentimental.

This morning we left the house around 5:45 so I could get to work at the Pastry Kitchen and there was some snow on the ground! This picture is approximately 12 hours later after it had been snowing off and on all day. This picture is the view from just outside our door.

Well, I had told some people months ago that I would put a picture of our scooter on here, so here it is! Snow's probably not the best thing for it, but we don't have anything to cover it with (plus we didn't know it was going to snow!). Maybe we'll invest in some sort of tarp... Also, I thought this was a cool picture because it shows how much it snowed today.

Your Christmas tree looks great, especially compared with our first one. We're hoping to get our tree set up tomorrow night as part of FHE. I have to admit that I am a grump and a grinch when it comes to setting up the tree, but the new one we got last year is much easier to set up then the previous one.

The snow looks great, I'm hoping it starts snowing again next Friday night about 6:00 PM (we should be off the highway by then) and that it snows all night.

We're looking forward to seeing you this weekend, I just wish there was a Casa Ole in Provo.
