The Big News:
We're having a baby!
Thanks to Mom and Kadee, most of the people I know have already heard. For those who haven't, well, there it is, two lines up.
We're super excited. Our first trip to the doctor is on Wednesday, but we probably won't learn a whole lot. We might not even see the actual doctor. Regardless, we're still pretty excited. Elizabeth is about 11 weeks along, so we have quite a ways to go still. We've both decided it's a boy. Here's my logic:
Jeff, the eldest of Rod's sons, had a girl first. Jeric had a boy. Tyson, girl. Trent...a boy. Any questions?
Of course, we'll be happy with whatever we get. We already have a list of names that we like. When the time comes we'll take a family poll and ignore what everyone else likes if it's not what we like.
A family in our ward was moving out and gave us their old crib. It's huge! It has three drawers on the side and two big ones on the bottom. Now we can use the money we would have spent on the crib for more useful things like diapers and Michael Jordan booties.
The Little News:
Elizabeth has 19 more days of college experience left. She's student teaching a 1st grade class, having a heck of a time trying to keep them from bouncing off the walls. 25 six-year-olds, 1 student teacher...yikes. She's doing a great job though. Luckily the last few days she hasn't been feeling as sick as usual. Hopefully that will wear off in a few weeks. I don't know how long I can keep making dinner without going having to go to Little Caeser's five nights a week.
This Wednesday is the Teacher Fair. She won't be looking for a full-time position, for obvious reasons, but we're hoping something might turn up where she can work during the summer for a decent wage. We'll see.
Classes have been going all right for me. Hopefully this semester I can maintain a good GPA, since I'll be sending in my medical school application sometime in July.
We were super close to transferring down to UNLV after this semester, hoping it would give me a better shot at getting accepted to the medical school in Reno, but the class schedule didn't work out. So, we'll stay up here until I finish my undergraduate stuff and apply as we planned in July. I still have an OK chance at getting accepted somewhere, but if that doesn't happen, we'll move down to Vegas for some graduate work and apply again next year. It's always good to have a backup plan, I'm told.
So that's the scoop. Sorry we don't update the blog that often. We just don't have that much going on these days. We sure do enjoy everyone else's blogs, though. Keep the good entries coming!

The new background is super cute!
You'll have lots of things to post about as soon as Ezekiel gets here, right? Lets see some more pictures of you guys. We never get to see you, who knows but that you've both completely changed?
YAY!! Congrats! We are so happy for you guys!
I'm happy to see a new entry on your blog, I'm so nosy it drives me crazy when people don't update regularly :) Anyways, I'm glad to hear that Liz is doing great and probably too excited to hear you guys might move back to Vegas soon. I think all Leavitts should live here :) Fun fun.
Elizabeth,
Congratulations on the baby! That is so exciting! I'm glad I found your blog through Becca's!
Love,
Emily
