Family Home Evening went a little something like this tonight:
Trent: Welcome to Family Home Evening. Does anyone have any announcements?
William: I'm Panda!
Trent and Me nodding in agreement...of course he is, good announcement...
Fast forward to the opening prayer. William tried to kind of skip over the body of the prayer, so Trent tried prompting him things to say:
Trent: We're thankful that Mommy could make dinner for us.
William: Thankful that Mommy could make dinner. (Pause, then correcting himself, goes on) Thankful that Tigress (that's moi) could make dinner.
There was also more talk of Kung Fu Panda that William somehow sneaked into FHE, including William jumping off a chair and landing "like Panda". And don't worry, during one of the songs (I think) he said he was singing the fruit ninja song (as he waved his arms accordingly).
After FHE, Trent watched an episode of some Avengers show on Netflix that has Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, etc. with William. (This is their favorite form of "manly bonding", watching animated superhero shows while sometimes eating otter pops). Of course he LOVES to play avengers. He is usually Iron Man, Trent is Thor, and of course Jonas is the Hulk. I am the only female character, named Wasp, who William frequently calls Bumble Bee Girl. Trent proposed that we be those characters for Halloween this year. We'll see. I told Trent that if I were to make a modest version of Wasp's outfit, which is yellow with a black zigzag line across the chest, that I would just end up looking like Charlie Brown. Trent said not to worry because I would have wings and a cool helmet. Pretty sure though, that I would look like Charlie brown with wings and a cool helmet. Haha.
I just need to remember William's love for role playing movies and tv shows during all those times during the day that I'm trying to think of something for him to do without actually having the tv on.
P.S. We had such a great summer. Sorry I'm a terrible blogger. We have a bajillion pictures, but some of my favorites are of a little photo shoot we did of Jonas and his cousin Cora at the beach that are seriously adorable. Two 6-month-olds on a surf board? Check! I'll get on Trent's computer sometime soon and post them.
